Colas Class 37s, 37116 & 37421 head along the slow lines through Bamfurlong on the afternoon of Tuesday 13th April 2021. The pair were working the regular fortnightly "Test Train" on behalf of Network Rail and were running about 15 minutes early meaning for once it wasn't "squeaky bum time" worrying about whether the northbound or southbound expresses would "bowl" me. 37116 was making yet another visit having been through a good few times over the past few weeks with 37421 on the rear.

Due to their early running it looked like they would be held at the signal by the road overbridge, where the old Bamfurlong station was until it was demolished in the 1960s, (the station closed on 27th November 1950 but the platforms remained into the 60s). When I hit record the signal was still showing red but cleared to a single yellow before they passed me meaning we get a little bit of a growl from the locos but not much by way of thrash :/

1Q47 Derby R.T.C.(Network Rail) to Carlisle
