If you’re using a capo to keep the same chords, but easier shapes, that’s great. But something I don’t ever hear people talk about is when to use it for changing the key of a song.

imo, there are two reasons:
1. Make the music suit your singer’s voice better, and
2. Put the music in a key that sounds better

Idk how else to describe it, but songs in C moved to Eb with a capo sound like magic ✨
