In this interactive case presentation, Dr. Lynne Taiclet  will present common oral health challenges of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/IDD). Specifically, she will discuss methods for overcoming common barriers that clinicians face when responding to oral needs of I/IDD. Recommendations to direct support staff will be provided on ways to maintain daily oral care and practices that minimize risk for oral pathology.
