This live event, hosted on August 17, 2021 takes people behind the scenes of pitch competitions so viewers can be better prepared if they pursue pitch competitions as a viable support and source of funding.

Tara Spalding, Managing Director at BoomStartup Accelerator has been a judge for over 20 pitch competitions over the years. She has also mentored and coached several dozen founders on their pitch competition submissions and set them up for success. This presentation reveals the insight on how pitch competitions work, what to look out for when you apply, and ways to create an advantage when it's your turn to pitch.

UVU (Utah Valley University) is providing this program as a service to their entrepreneurs. It is also featured by the UVU We LIFT group, which is to encourage women to become entrepreneurs.
