Shutter Island was unlike any film Martin Scorsese had made before, as it was a psychological thriller with a lot of twists and turns that required at least one rewatch to understand the whole plot. While a lot of people accept the interpretation of events that the film offers up by the end, there are others who think there is more to the film’s famous twist ending than there seems.
