The Suramadu Bridge is a bridge that crosses the Madura Strait, connecting Java Island (in Surabaya) and Madura Island (in Bangkalan), Indonesia. With a length of 5,438 m, this bridge is the longest in Indonesia today. It has a width of approximately 30 meters consisting of four two-way lanes with a width of 3.5 meters with two emergency lanes of 2.75 meters wide, and a special lane for motorcyclists on each side of the bridge.
