Hi all and welcome to our next British history lecture in our historiography of western countries series!
This video is titled The UK Constitution - Constituency Voting And The UK Parliamentary System Explained. Sorry it doesn't have one of the usual high-tech slideshows ... It is an extra video that expands on some of the ideas of our Zombies, Tyrants and Edward I video but which would have slowed down that video too much. You can watch that here if you haven't already [ Ссылка ]
In this video we'll look a little bit more in depth about the constituency voting system the UK has and how this works with the institution of parliament. We'll see how the UK constitution evolved from the English constitution, how the process of constituency voting came about, and what the characteristics, uses and benefits of this system are, to summarise the UK parliamentary system explained. We'll see that the English constitution is centred around legitimacy and that is it by legitimacy that you get stable, productive politics.
Doing so will help anyone to better understand the history of the UK and England as well be able to better interpret what should be done today.
