Slug Beer Trap
I have an infestation of slugs in my garden. As much as I love animals, these have become pests. They get everywhere and destroy anything I try to grow: plants, fruit, and vegetables.
I refuse to use pesticides and found that slugs love beer! So I set up my Slug Beer Trap and ran a time-lapse from 8 PM until 8 AM.
I dug a trench, placed a tray in the ground, and poured in three cans of Stella Artois. The slugs are attracted to the smell of yeast in the beer. They have a little drink, and many fall into the beer, possibly drunk and drown, or maybe the beer is poison to them.
In the morning, I came back to a tray full of dead slugs. The Slug Beer Trap seems to have worked, but I can guarantee that there will be plenty more tonight! The snails seem happy though, they have drink then gone, none in the tray!
