Philippines culls chickens to battle avian flu outbreak
The Philippines has deployed more troops to cull hundreds of thousands of chickens over potential exposure to the avian flu virus.
The outbreak began in April, but poultry farm owners in the northern town of San Luis only reported it three months later. It has now spread to nearby areas.
