If there were transnational lists in European elections, citizens could not only elect people from national parties to Brussels but also vote for European parties with a second vote
What would be the added value of transnational lists?🤩
Transnational lists would take us one step further towards genuine European democracy. People could, for example, vote for a conservative Europe or a social Europe with their second vote. This would give them more options than just deciding whether to vote for or against the EU with their first vote.
