The Environmental Science and Management (PhD) program at Montclair State University is one of the only programs of its kind in the region.

Established in 2003, Montclair State University’s Environmental Science and Management curriculum emphasizes the need for environmental professionals to be fluent in the natural and physical sciences, statistics, economics, and policy. This knowledge and skill set is necessary for environmental managers to serve as generators of new knowledge, and also as interpreters and ambassadors between the diverse stakeholders involved in environmental issues.
