A 15-year-old girl who is thought to have been kidnapped from Waikloa this afternoon has received an Amber Alert from the authorities.
Between 1:30 and 2:30 pm, Mikella Lani Debina was last spotted on the south shore of Anaeho'omalu Bay wearing a black bikini top and a flowery bottom. She is reported as being 120 pounds and 5 feet, 3 inches tall. The teen's skin is freckled, and she has shoulder-length hair.
According to police, Mikella may be dating a local man who is described as being bareback, between the ages of 45 and 60, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with an average build, and wearing gray shorts. It's thought that Mikella is in danger.
Hawai‘i police ask the public to call 911 immediately if they spot Mikella.
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 808-961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
