The Director of Corporate Communications at Uganda National Roads Authority Dan Alinange says that the contract to complete the Mukono-Katosi road has now been awarded to Solel Boneh International (SBI) construction company. Alinange told NTV that the cost of the road that has been the subject of many a discussion, has gone up by 52 billion shillings due to an additional number of smaller roads and kilometers that were not included in the original contract with EUTAW. EUTAW’s contract had been cancelled because of procurement irregularities. The Attorney General Peter Nyombi has confirmed that he wrote to the Solicitor General on 9th January 2015 to approve the new contractor.
