Keith Moon- Drummer
Keith John Moon was an English drummer for the rock band the Who.
He was noted for his unique style and his self-destructive behaviour and drug addiction.
Moon grew up in Alperton, a suburb of Wembley, in Middlesex, and took up the drums during the early 1960s. The official cause of death was listed on the certificate as “Clomethiazole (Heminevrin) overdose, self-administered but no evidence of intention. Open verdict.” It was later revealed Moon had 26 undissolved Heminevrin tablets still in his stomach when he died.
Anna Pavlova - Russian prima ballerina of the late 19th and the early 20th centuries. She was a principal artist of the Imperial Russian Ballet.
Cause of death: pleurisy, twenty days short of her 50th birthday.
Tubby Hayes - Edward Brian "Tubby" Hayes was an English jazz multi-instrumentalist, best known for his tenor saxophone playing in groups with fellow sax player Ronnie Scott and with trumpeter Jimmy Deuchar.
Cause of death: In July 1971, he underwent open heart surgery to replace the mitral valve. Hayes died in June 1973, during a second heart operation at the Hammersmith Hospital, at the age of 38.
Ronnie Scott - British jazz tenor saxophonist and jazz club owner. He co-founded Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London's Soho district, one of the world's most popular jazz clubs, in 1959.
Cause of death: accidental overdose of barbiturate prescribed by his dentist.
Marc Bolan - an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and poet. He is known as one of the pioneers of the glam rock movement of the early 1970s with his band T. Rex
Bolan never learned to drive, fearing a premature death in a car crash.
Cause of death: On 16 September 1977, Bolan was a passenger in a Mini 1275GT driven by Gloria Jones as they headed home from Mortons club and restaurant in Berkeley Square. After she crossed a small humpback bridge near Gipsy Lane on Queens Ride, Barnes, southwest London, the car struck a fence post and then a tree. Bolan was killed instantly, while Jones suffered a broken arm and broken jaw
Sigmund Freud - an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis, a clinical method for treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and a psychoanalyst.
Cause of death: Lethal dose of morphine. Freud was suffering with cancer at the time.
Peter SellersCBE - was an English actor, comedian and singer. He performed in the BBC Radio comedy series The Goon Show, featured on a number of hit comic songs and became known to a worldwide audience through his many film roles, among them Chief Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panther series.
Cause of death: Heart attack aged 54 years.
Dame Barbara Windsor - an English actress, known for her roles in the Carry On films and for playing Peggy Mitchell in the BBC One soap opera EastEnders.
Cause of death: Alzheimer’s disease.
Frederick Albert Heath - known professionally as Johnny Kidd, was an English singer-songwriter, best remembered as the lead vocalist for the rock and roll band Johnny Kidd & the Pirates. He was one of the few pre-Beatles British rockers to achieve worldwide fame, mainly for his 1960 hit, "Shakin' All Over".
Cause of death: a motor car collision on the A58, Bury New Road, Breightmet, near Radcliffe, Lancashire, around 2 am. The Ford Cortina in which he was travelling as a passenger had a head-on collision with a Mini. they were returning from a 21st birthday party. The New Pirates' bassist Nick Simper, who later became an original member of Deep Purple, was also in the car with Kidd, but he suffered only some cuts and a broken arm.
Steve Conway - a British singer who rose to fame in the post-war era. Known for romantic ballads, he made dozens of recordings for EMI's Columbia label, appeared regularly on BBC Radio and toured the UK.
Cause of death: Heart condition - post-operative complications. died at Guy's Hospital in London on 19 April 1952, aged 31.
David Alan Gest - American producer and television personality
Cause of death: Stroke. Gest's funeral service was held at Golders Green Crematorium in North London on April 29, 2016. His ashes were scattered in York, England.
Golders Green Crematorium and Mausoleum was the first crematorium to be opened in London, and one of the oldest crematoria in Britain the crematorium was opened in 1902 by Sir Henry Thompson.
The crematorium is secular, accepts all faiths and non-believers; clients may arrange their own type of service or remembrance event and choose whatever music they wish.
The crematorium gardens are listed at Grade I in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens
