The "Golden Shell", the top prize at the 63rd San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain has been awarded to Icelandic director Runar Runarsson for "Sparrows".
The coming-of-age tale is set in northern Iceland during the nightless summer days and tells the story of a 16-year-old boy who is sent to live with his estranged father after his mother moves to Africa.
