What’s the first step of we want to befriend a Green Cheek Conure?
The first step is to build trust.
The first step to build trust is to sit away from the bird and let them watch us. We shouldn’t go after the Conure. We shouldn’t try to touch the parrot during our initial interaction, if we want to gain their trust. They need to observe us, get used to our presence and our voice. Once they get comfortable and show curiosity, we can come a little closer and say hello.
