Baobab is the African Superfruit, famed for its extraordinary nutritional profile. But behind the hype around its health properties, there's also a remarkable back story about the women who harvest and process the fruit. Meet Mechia Matsika, from the village of Chibuwe, in Chimanimani, Zimbabwe. Baobab harvesting is her biggest source of cash income during the year. The money she earns from selling baobab has helped her put her four children through school, and she is passionate about the opportunities that the baobab market has created for her and her family. Join her for a day as she goes out into the forest to collect baobab fruit and bring them back to her home for storage and eventual sale.
