Tom Evans, 21, was embraced on stage by Everton FC chairman Bill Kenwright as he was handed the Chairman's Blueblood Award at the club's end of year awards. He said he dreamed Alfie would follow in Everton legend Wayne Rooney's footsteps and score goals for his favourite team. The diehard fan called Mr Kenwright, who earlier gave him a 'massive donation' towards his legal fight to keep Alfie's life support on, as he accepted the award calling him the 'granddad he never had'.
