Great 1976 single written by Lynsey De Paul and Barry Blue. Lynsey sings backing vocals and produced it, with Ringo Starr providing tambourine. The song came about after Lynsey was a guest on the Vera Lynn show and was impressed by Vera's vocal skills - so much so that she wrote the song for Vera - complete with the long note held at the end.
