It’s a bamboo brush! Why a toothbrush you wonder? Well, think about it for a second:
You dentist recommends replacing manual toothbrushes every 4 months. That means the average human being who lives 70 years or longer can discard over 200 plastic toothbrushes in a lifetime. And there are 7 Billion of us on the planet. Even if you discart your brush only twice per year, that’s a Gagillion brushes sitting on a landfill making a powerful negative impact on the earth. The shocking fact is that most toothbrushes are non-biodegradable, and can sit in a landfill for over 1,000 years without degrading.
And they don’t just sit there, They leach into water systems and soil, making them either unfit for use, or expensive to clean. In the US alone, there are about 50 million pounds of these plastic little suckers in landfills!
SO WHY BAMBOO!? Bamboo Is The Smart Eco-Friendly Alternative. Unlike many other materials, bamboo is a natural plant product that is fully biodegradable. It is not only easy to grow and harvest, but it grows rapidly.
Bamboo handles are anti-microbial, making them naturally resistant to bathroom bacteria.
And then the nylon bristles are recyclable. The packaging that the toothbrush comes in is recyclable, too.

I’ve been using this particular brand “Brush with Bamboo” for a couple of weeks and it is holding out very nicely. The bristles are soft, which is awesome for my very soft mouth. My gums are very sensitives and they get swollen if I eat something hard. This brush is very gentle on my mouth.
