"So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright" is a song by Simon & Garfunkel. It was originally released on the duo's 1970 album "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Paul Simon wrote the song by request for Art Garfunkel who had previously studied architecture. Simon knew nothing about Wright, so he just used his name as a substitute and instead wrote a nostalgic song about Garfunkel.
Garfunkel only became aware of Simon's intention for the song to symbolize their partnership many years after the album's release. During an interview, he commented that Simon had never shared that secret with him.
