Escape the bustling city crowd with just a 2-hour drive up North of Kyoto! Ine is known for its unique boat houses called Funaya, lining the coast of Ine bay. There are about 230 Funayas, and you can even stay in one of them! However, we opted for a day trip instead. 🚘🎣

Here’s how we spent our day in Ine:

1. Enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch set with a view on the 2nd floor at Funaya Shokudo.
2. Strolled along the coast of Ine bay.
3. Took a 25-minute Ine Bay Sightseeing Boat ride (¥1000 per adult) while feeding the seagulls with crackers (¥100 per bag).
4. Savored yummy Japanese desserts at the beautiful cafe of Miyabi Ine Boathouse.

It was definitely a refreshing change from the usual Kyoto experience, and we highly recommend visiting Ine! 🚤🌊
