On July 22, 2024, Kyiv hosted a public discussion “Ukraine's Accession to the EU: How to Move Effectively and Quickly” dedicated to the arrival of the Advisory Group of High-Level European Integration Advisors from the Nordic and Baltic countries.
The event focused on
- Ukraine's priority steps in the EU accession negotiations and challenges on this path;
- expectations from the EU enlargement;
- Ukraine's advocacy plan in Brussels and among other EU member states.

Katarina Areskoug (Sweden), former State Secretary for EU and International Affairs to the Prime Minister of Sweden, former Foreign Ministry diplomat (Swedish Representation in Brussels), official at the European Commission;
Högni S. Kristjánsson (Iceland), former Deputy Head of the Icelandic Mission to the EU, Director for European Affairs at the MFA, current Ambassador of Iceland to Norway;
Moderator Olena Sotnyk (Ukraine), Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.
