A brief video synopthis of the Bloodhound SSC landspeed car and exhibition at Northampton College on the evening of the 21st February 2012.
Bloodhound SSC (Supersonic Car) is leading the latest attempt to break the world land speed record. Bloodhound, designed and built in Britain, is powered by a Rolls Royce Eurofighter Jet Engine and Hybrid Rocket and delivers the equivalent of 135,000 horse power (equivalent to the power of 112 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport cars).
This video starts off with some shots of the glass-fibre replica of what the full size car will look like from both from the front and the back. Then we take a look at a Eurojet EJ200 engine from a Eurofighter Typhoon, which will provide half the thrust for the Bloodhound.
