German Warship Shoots Down Drone off Lebanon Coast | Vantage with Palki Sharma
A German warship operating as part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mission shot down an unmanned drone off the coast of Lebanon on Thursday (October 17). A spokesperson for the German Defence Ministry informed that the corvette was managing a UN-led peacekeeping operation when it spotted the drone. "The corvette brought an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle into the water in a controlled crash," he said. He further said that none of the crew on the UNIFIL ship was hurt. In the last few days, the UN soldiers have come under attack several times in embattled Lebanon.
