Capsular Contracture aka Capsular Contraction (CC) is when 1 or both implants becomes firm, sits high, and can sometimes be painful. In this video we chat with our patient Linda via Virtual Zoom on how she came for our Aspen After Surgery 5 day Fast Track, received treatment for both breasts, and was able to soften, reshape, and get rid of her pain non-surgically, without downtime, and for a fraction of surgical cost.
Of note, Linda had previous surgery to try and fix her CC which resulted in both breasts getting CC again. Statistically CC returns 70-90% time with surgery regardless of surgeon, type of implant, or use of ADM ( skin strips or mesh placed around implants ) or Asthma Medication (Accolate or Singulair). It should be mentioned the last two are not FDA approved nor approved for the indication of prevention of Capsular Contracture. Conversely, they can have bad side effects like infection, liver failure, and psychological issues. Linda was on Accolate and still suffered CC as many do.
