It’s the first week in office for the new mayor of Johannesburg. The ANC’s Dada Morero was sworn in over the weekend, after a successful vote of no confidence against mayor Mpho Phalatse. The DA has gone to court to challenge the way Friday’s vote went ahead in the Joburg council. Many fingers of blame are pointed after the collapse of the DA-led voting block.
