Fair warning, this is still a work in progress and only works on the home screen, but still, if you want to at least have some idea of what your missing out on your simply, not the latest, iPhone, here's a good way to experience it.
A developer has created a new JB tweak that allows you to tap and hold to use the 3D touch features throughout the homescreen at least. Combine this with the Live Photos Tweak I did a video on last week and you have a pretty good idea of what 3D Touch is like (and begin to seriously question why the hell Apple needed to add hardware for this to work on the newer iPhones when you can clearly enable tap and hold to do it on all iPhones).
