We come from the land - Orient Point NSW: Jerringa Local Aboriginal Land Council, Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council and Common Films 1988 27mins
Community representatives from the Jervis Bay Region discuss their Aboriginal heritage, their relationship to the land, and their response to the Federal Government plans to move major naval facilities (including ammunition dump and huge wharves for nuclear warships) near one of their sacred places. The Beecroft Peninsula on the northern side of Jervis Bay, is the home of Bundoola Dreamings, and the place of origin of the 13 Aboriginal peoples of central and south coastal New South Wales. These communities ask that this land be declared a national park, to be shared with the Australian public, instead of being locked away for the Navy
