Junior lightweight prospect Austin Dulay (10-0, 7 KOs) of Hendersonville, Tenn., scored three knockdowns in the first two rounds en route to a unanimous decision (59-52, 59-52, 59-52) victory over Jose Esquivel (10-6, 2 KOs) on PBC on FS1 on May 20, 2017 from from Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas.

Dulay dropped Esquivel to the canvas twice in the first round, in what looked like it might be an early night for Laredo’s-own Esquivel. But Esquivel showed his heart to make it to the second stanza.

Another big knockdown by Dulay at the end of Round 2 looked to put the fight in jeopardy once again for Esquivel, but once again the Texas native rallied.

Esquivel showed grit the remaining rounds, but it was too late as Dulay’s early work proved to be more than enough.
