MP Sambit Patra referred to the infamous Nagarwala case of 1971, where a man named Rustom Sohrab Nagarwala impersonated Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's voice over the phone and instructed the chief cashier at the State Bank of India's Parliament Street branch to withdraw ₹60 lakh. The cashier, Ved Prakash Malhotra, handed over the money to Nagarwala, who claimed to be the PM's courier. However, when Malhotra approached the PMO for a receipt, he was informed that no such instruction had been given by the PM or her secretary, P.N. Haksar
