Commencing a rail journey from Kolkata to Kamakhya also marks the exciting beginning of our Arunachal series. Our expedition sets off from Kolkata's pulsating Sealdah railway station.
You can also drop off at Guwahati which is 5 km ahead of Kamakhya Junction. Initially we were also planning to drop off at Guwahati however with our guide request we decided to drop off at Kamakhya Junction.
The true charm of this journey lies in the unfolding landscapes, from the lush plains of Bengal to the rolling hills of Northeast India. Awe-inspiring sights of sprawling tea estates, dense woodlands, and broad rivers greet passengers along the way. The majestic Brahmaputra River's sight is particularly mesmerizing, signifying the train's nearing arrival to Kamakhya.
