Psoriasis is a chronic, relapsing, inflammatory disease that involves the skin, nails and joints, and is accompanied by a significant impact on patients’ overall quality of life.Topical treatments are frequently prescribed but are not often very successful. Consequently, there is a need for an improvement in psoriasis therapeutic options. In the present work, the therapeutic effect of an injectable hybrid stable cooperative complex (Profhilo) treatment was evaluated in six adult patients who were affected by psoriasis. Profhilo treatment was performed twice with 4 weeks between treatments, by intra- and peri-lesional deep-dermal bolus injection.The treatment shows a positive local effect on psoriasis plaques starting from the first injection. An improvement has been observed in both the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index evaluation and photographic evidence. In addition, the pruritus is importantly decreased. Obtained results suggest that Profhilo injection could be considered as an alternative therapeutic approach in the management of psoriasis.
