In this video I visit Exeter St Thomas on the Great Western Main Line and Riviera Line. Services are seen by Great Western Railway and CrossCountry.
The views here were stunning. There is an incline from Exeter towards Starcross which gives a climb for trains and especially HST's roaring through. There is a great variety of traction here and is highly worth visiting.
Featuring we see a few units with 150249 and 150246 departing with a service from Exmouth - Paignton. 143619 and 143611 are working the opposite. Some passing IET's working from London Paddington - Penzance and vice versa. 150247 and 150248 are seen heading to Exmouth from Paignton. A few various Voyagers were seen along with two short set HST's formed of 43155 and 43192 seen working 5V84 08:56 Doncaster Works Wabtec - Laira T& R.S.M.D. with a recently refurbished plug door set. 43153 and 43122 on another short set are seen working an ECS from Penzance - Exeter St Davids after the service was cancelled and would soon head back to Plymouth.
