San Deigo, CA - The Mira Mesa neighborhood in San Diego is under investigation following a series of residential burglaries. Since March 4th, authorities have recorded eight burglaries believed to be related due to the suspects' consistent method of operation.
Modus Operandi: The suspects predominantly target corner houses within the neighborhood. Upon selecting a target, they gain entry through rear sliding glass doors. In some cases, they break the glass to access the homes, while in others, they exploit unsecured doors. Once inside, the suspects ransacked the residences, seizing safes, cash, and jewelry. Surveillance footage captured the suspects loading a large safe into what appears to be a small, late-model, possibly dark-colored SUV before fleeing the scene.
Suspect Description: All suspects are believed to be men in their late teens or early twenties.
