Religious violence is continuing unabated in Indonesia's troubled Maluku province.
In what is becoming a daily occurrence, clashes between Muslims and Christians in the provincial capital, Ambon, claimed more lives on Monday.
At least one Christian died in this outbreak of fighting.

Locals who witnessed Monday's clash said soldiers shot one man as a group of Christians retreated following a violent and bloody clash with local Muslims.
Authorities have confirmed the death of at least one Christian in this latest outbreak of fighting.
The final death toll, however, is not known.
Scores of people from both sides were injured.

It is not known what incident sparked the clash between the Muslims and Christians.
But the violence was quickly brought under control by the Indonesian military.

Indonesian forces have previously been accused by both Christians and the Muslims of taking sides in the bloody conflict.

Some seven hundred lives have been lost since it began a year ago.
