With Friday's deadline for all spaza shop owners and vendors to register with their respective municipalities looming, an organisation representing foreign businesses in the Garden Route region of the Western Cape, has called for the date to be pushed back.
The Southern Cape Foreign Business Concern says it will be impossible for all shops to get the clearance they need by Friday. They've appealed to government for an extension of between 3 and 6 months.
