The Spyke is an incredible science/art show piece and the perfect gift for anyone with interest in science or as an anti-fidget desk toy for someone with a bit too curious mind. The ferrofluid is permanently magnetized by three magnets fixed at the Spyke's base. The patterns you create inside Spyke by altering the magnetic field with the magnetic stylus are more spiky and dramatic than other displays. There are three color choices (black, blue and gold). The natural (black) colored display comes with orange background while the other displays come with a platinum background.
