Bhakta Kannappa Temple is located on a small hill near Srikalahasti temple. Bhakta Kannappa, a tribal youth, was a devotee of Lord Shiva and gave his eyes to the Lord Shiva idol in the temple. This temple is made respecting the devotion of Bhakta Kannappa.
You have to start from the side of Srikalahasti temple. There are 325 steps to climb, around half kilometer, which will take 20-30 minutes depending on your climbing strength. You should keep atleast one hour in hand to go to this place. You can get a good view of the temple, the river, the township etc. from the top of the hill.
