My arrangement of the 14th century tune Ad mortem festinamus, using live-looping with half speed effect. The original is a melody is a pilgrim song from the Libre Vermell of Monsetrrat, the general gist of which is something like, "we're all going to die so we'd better stop sinning". I composed this version for the show Firestarter which is about the English Great Revolt of 1381. The first half accompanies the bit of the story when the rebels have triumphed and the king has met all their demands, the second, section, where I've composed a countermelody to the half speed version depicts the moment when it turns out that the king's promises are going up in smoke...
