Wow, it didn’t take long for us to get a contender for shittiest game of 2015, but here it is - released only 9 days into the new year, Funk of Titans is an embarrassment, not only to the developers, but to the Xbox One’s ID@Xbox publishing program. Seriously, if this is the calibre your game needs to be to score a release on the big black brick, I can’t say it fills me with hope for the future of the program.

So, in Funk of Titans, you play as Zeus’s son Perseus who has to restore Funk to Ancient Greece after a trio of monsters have replaced it with Pop, Rap and Rock. Each of these genres takes the form of a different world with multiple levels and a mid and final boss, which all sounds like standard platform fare, and could quite possibly be entertaining, if it all wasn’t just a giant mess in terms of theme and gameplay.

Funk of Titans is an auto runner game, where your only input for the player character is hit and jump. Everything else is automatic and this bare bones games play hardly changes throughout the three, thankfully short worlds.
