Trio Serioso is an ensemble featuring an unusual combination of instruments (2 violins and a viola). Founded in 2016 by three virtuoso musicians and friends, they focus on interpreting lesser known pieces of noteworthy composers. Their repertoire has an emphasis on music from the 19th and 20th century, but also includes Baroque and Classical works. Their sound is characterised by full and rich colours, soft cantabile violin and a velvety viola tone. The members of Trio Serioso are Pavol Varga, Katarina Veselska and Peter Zwiebel, established artists from Vienna and Bratislava’s musical scenes. Their performances bring a unique concert experience to the audience.
