The Spanish government has allowed the dumping of agricultural waste (which contains high nitrates concentration) into the Mar Menor lagoon for 30+ years and still allows it. Nobody takes responsibility. Conservation laws are violated everyday. No politician addresses the problem. Neither the Spanish media, and the international remains unaware of this. There is no recovery plan of Mar Menor and no intention to design it.

This is the current state of one of the largest saltwater coastal lagoons in Europe. Phytoplankton is turning the water green. The smell is terrible. Hypoxic episodes kills hundreds of autoctonous species specimens.

In this age of environmental awareness, there are still governments in Western Europe that commits such ecocides and think they can get away with it. This story needs to be heard worldwide. Don't let this ecocide be forgotten. Share this video and spread it as much as you can.
