Hope you all enjoy this cover I made recently of Si Tu No Bailas Conmigo by Juan Luis Guerra! I had a blast arranging, performing, and producing this, and had the opportunity to try out some ideas I've been thinking about for a while. I've been experimenting with different percussive arrangements for various merengue feels. In this one I added the mitan drum and manman drum from Haitian Kongo, and several times hinted at some Dominican atabales from Palo. I think the dense melodic drum voices, especially in this merengue ballad kind of feel, sound really dope! ¡Espero que les guste! All glory to God! ¡Toda la gloria a Dios!
