Old CRP field after 3 years of mob grazing. This field had been taken out of production for 20 years, nothing could be done with it. It was solid dead thatch with minimal live plants growing on the idle tract. Grazing ruminate animals trampled the dead thatch onto the ground which opened up the canopy and fed the soil at the same time. My new book is going to the printers next week.
