In this funny and engaging talk, Pete describes the impact spoken word has had in schools where he has taught it and how it can be a force for discovering untapped creativity in children.
Pete Bearder (aka Pete the Temp) is a passionate spoken word educator, poet, musician and loop pedal artist. His work has been featured on BBC Newsnight, Radio 4 and the World Service.
In 2009 he became the Hammer & Tongue National Poetry Slam Champion and in 2013, he became one of the first full time spoken word educators in a UK school. He has toured Europe with his work and now lives in Berlin as street entertainer.
