Is there really such thing as a CHEAP CNC surfacing bit that performs? I started my CNC journey with a quality set of Whiteside CNC bits that have been great performers. I added a Whiteside 6220 CNC surfacing bit to my collection which has also performed well. When I started looking at other options for surfacing bits, I found some that were climbing into the $200 and nearly $300 range. I understand you get what you pay for, and am confident most of these bits would do a great job, but also wondered if any of the lower cost bits out there could perform well and get the job done. I've seen people using this cheap, small surfacing bit and after trying it, I was shocked at the cut quality of this little Sugelary bit! The Whiteside bit is also relatively low cost for a 2" bit with 4 cutters on it. I'd encourage you to look at the reviews of both using the affiliate links below:
