To build a scalable content team you’re going to need a few skills.
– A Subject Matter Expert
The person who has the expertise and understands what matters to your core audience.
– An Architect
The person who is responsible for getting business results with your content program.
– A Creative
Someone that can shoot, edit and package content in the “right” way for a given channel.
– A Distributor
The person on the ground talking to the audience. Think “boots on the ground” like a political campaign.
The main mistake early businesses make is that more than likely the CEO or entrepreneur will play multiple roles.
AT LEAST the SME and Architect. It’s going to be hard to outsource the business results of your marketing program to someone else on your team.
Sometimes you’ll need to play 3 of the 4 roles.
Most teams at least have a video editor.
