Unusual Punishment is my new Christmas horror story - it’s a comedy / mixed genre / psychological thriller short film. It’s very comedic and sarcastic in my opinion. It’s a parody on many things. Mostly jokes in dead pan (comedy) delivery. But I also tried to create a unique and cool feeling and style. And use photography and cinematography that is aligned with my taste. I made it alone with only my iPhone so the POV of some of shots is a style choice and also necessary given time and zero crew constraints… also there’s gaps and room for interpretation in the second half. It can also be used as a teaser trailer or show reel or proof of concept for a much larger story. These are just ideas and large brush strokes.

This is another story in the same universe I’ve been creating in with some of the same characters, including Martha, and a different white mask instead of the orange mask. I’m just experimenting with different stuff. I shot this in one day and one night essentially and edited it in 2 days. No budget. No crew. Just cool locations in the mountains and props and ideas. But still no solid script written out beforehand. Just going with the flow of what is available to shoot and being in the moment doing improvisation around a larger vision.
