This year Maharashtra MBA colleges are accepting MAT scores for admission into their institutes.
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.
Candidate can take MAT as
(i) Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) or
(ii) Double Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) or
(iii) Paper Based Test (PBT) or
(iv) Paper Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (PBT+IBT) or
(v) Computer Based Test (CBT) or
(vi) Computer Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (CBT+IBT) or
(vii) Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test (PBT+CBT)
- MAT 2022 consists of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- The questions are of easy to moderate difficulty level
- The 5 test sections in MAT 2022 exam are Language Comprehension, Mathematical skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment. Each section consists of 40 questions.
- Time duration of the test is 2 hours 30 minutes
- Each correct answer is awarded +1 Mark
- Each wrong answer is penalized with -0.25 negative mark
- Score and percentile in MAT exam is awarded on the basis of 4 sections. The MAT score of Indian & Global Environment is separately shown in the MAT score card, but it is not taken into account to calculate the merit or percentile score in the MAT score card.
